1.  PeeWee (birth year 2015) and U6 (birth year 2014) soccer practices are clinic style sessions run by an excellent outside company called Challenger Sports.
2. The first week of soccer will be the weekend of September 7/8th and the last session will be the weekend of November 2nd. (assuming no reschedules due to weather)
3.  PeeWee training schedule days and times are TBD.
4.  There will be no soccer on October 5th/6th due to Columbus Day.
5.  Picture Day will be TBD.

  • The Pee Wee Program is a play based program that introduces soccer as a fun sport.
  • The Pee Wee Program is about young kids having fun. The foremost goal is to create a safe and fun play environment using a variety of games being played to make the children at home within the group. Once the children are comfortably enjoying themselves, soccer related games are used that develop soccer skills and soccer knowledge.
  • Our Pee Wee program is intended for players who are 4 years old or who will turn 4 during the session they are signed up for.
  • Pee Wee players should always wear:
  • 1. AYSA provided jersey and soccer socks
  • 2. Shin guards
  • 3. Bring a size 3 soccer ball.
  • 4. Cleats (or "boots" as they are called in soccer) are not necessary.  Sneakers are fine, especially if this is their first time trying the sport.  If they take a liking to it, then you can buy them cleats.
  • Players should always bring plenty of water to keep hydrated.

  • The U6 Program is the next level up from Pee Wees for our younger players.
  • The U6 Program continues with the teaching of soccer skills in a fun, developmental, non-soccer game environment.  The last 15 minutes of each session, will be small 3v3 games without goalies, using small PUG nets.  This will give them a little taste of the game and help prepare them for the next level.

It is important to note that throughout your child's soccer career, ball control and individual skills are the most important parts of their development.  While we all want our kids to "score goals", without the proper training and skill development, they will not be able to be a productive team member.  That is why ALL training sessions, regardless of age, should include work on basic ball control and individual skills.

The Pee Wee and U6 Programs are run by Challenger Sports trainers.
